Elephant rescued from deep well in a 14-hour operation

A crew of 50 folks have helped rescue a male elephant from a deep well in Dharmapuri, southern India.

Local villagers dropped banana leaves down for the elephant to eat because the rescue dragged on by the night time.

The bull was ultimately delivered to the floor the other way up, as cranes and belts lifted it to security.
